Imagine a vibrant, white smile. Porcelain veneers are the secret
to the majority of celebrity smiles and dramatic television smile
makeovers. Porcelain veneers are thin strips of porcelain custom
designed to fit on the front of your tooth. Veneers are made to resemble
real teeth in size, shape and color and are bonded to misaligned,
damaged or discolored teeth to improve their appearance. Make a dramatic,
positive change in the appearance of your smile with this long lasting
treatment.
You may be completely satisfied with the shape and alignment of your
smile – but years of drinking coffee, smoking or general wear
and tear have caused your smile’s brilliance to fade or yellow.
Regain the confidence that comes from a bright, white smile with a
tooth whitening procedure. Tooth whitening is safe, effective
and long lasting. Drs. Berdahl and Feiock offer convenient at-home
custom whitening in two different options.
Your first option is a home whitening kit involving a special tray
that is customized to fit over your teeth. You receive prescription
whitening gel, which is inserted into the tray before you wear it.
Dr. Berdahl or Dr. Feiock give you detailed instructions about how
long you should wear the tray each day. Expect the entire home
whitening process to take between two and four weeks, leaving you
with a dazzling smile.
Your second option is professional strength Crest White Strips.
Similar in function to the strips sold in stores, the professional
grade strips have up to 80 percent more whitening power than those
sold in stores. Drs. Berdahl and Feiock will walk you through the
process step by step, and within 21 days you will have a brighter,
whiter smile!
Missing teeth can seriously impact the rest of your smile and your
confidence. You begin to chew differently, feel mouth pain and
find additional gaps and spaces as your remaining teeth work to compensate
for your smile’s loss. Don’t settle for a smile
that continues to deteriorate. Solve the problem and regain
your smile’s vibrancy with a porcelain bridge. A porcelain
bridge, custom designed by your doctor at Sensational Smiles, keeps
your smile aligned and your bite functional. It flawlessly matches
your existing teeth, showing the world no signs of a restoration at
all. Bridges are anchored to existing teeth or crowns on either
side of the missing tooth. They provide a long-term restorative solution
for your damaged smile.
Even while taking careful preventive care, your teeth undergo a tremendous
amount of stress during your lifetime. Your smile shows this strain
in a variety of ways, including discoloration, chipping and cracking.
Crowns heal problems that may have surfaced and restore your smile
to peak brilliance! Porcelain crowns are shaded to match your teeth,
giving you a flawless restoration. They are made out of porcelain
fused to metal or all porcelain. After some tooth preparation,
crowns are custom fitted to give you a beautiful smile that functions
faultlessly!
Whether as a child in a candy craze or an adult who neglects to floss,
most Americans experience fillings for cavities at some point in their
lifetime. When the decay has been taken out of the tooth, it
is replaced with “filling” material. In the past, amalgam
(silver) fillings were placed into the cleaned out portion of the
tooth. With advancements in dentistry, you can now have tooth-colored
fillings that are shaded to match your surrounding teeth and bond
your teeth together better. Heal your smile without embarrassing silver
fillings visible on your back teeth.
During initial consults, our dentist will examine your teeth and jaw to determine if you are a good candidate for Invisalign. Next, we’ll take necessary radiographs (X-rays) and pictures of your teeth and jaw. A mold of your teeth will be taken and a plan of action will be developed. Using a computer-imaging program, dentists are able to make a series of molds that will be used to progressively move your teeth to new positions.
Invisalign advantages to give you the great smile you have always wanted:
- Invisalign is invisible, so no one can tell you are straightening your teeth. Now you can smile more DURING treatment as well as after.
- Invisalign is removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment, plus brushing and flossing are no problem.
- Invisalign is comfortable, because it has no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. And no metal and wires means you spend less time in your doctor's office getting adjustments.
- Your oral hygiene is improved.
- Invisalign allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start, so you can see how your straight teeth will look when you treatment is complete.
- Invisalign may reduce the risk of cavities and gum disease when compared to wire braces that trap food and plaque.
- You only visit your dentist only once every 6 weeks.
- Invisalign is usually faster than conventional braces.
- In most cases the aligners are doing multiple tooth movements simultaneously. Commonly, in conventional bracketing, some movements get ignored until another movement is completed by the current mechanics.
- Work is usually completed in 15 months while conventional braces take an average of 2 years.
Invisalign disadvantages:
- They are not designed to treat patients with mixed dentition, changing a bite and/or growing palates and therefore are not appropriate for children.
- All restorative work must be completed before or after the treatment.
- Invisalign is designed to treat patients with less complex orthodontic needs.
- It is difficult to change this system after treatment has begun because this system is so exacting.
- The system is dependent on the patient wearing the retainers.
- May temporarily affect your speech.
- They are to be worn full time, day or night, except while eating and brushing or flossing.
- Teeth may be sore with a slight ache from the pressure especially for the first few days with each new aligner.
- After the work is completed you may have to wear a retainer at night.
Let one simple treatment correct your chipped, broken, stained or
discolored teeth. Bonding is a tooth-colored material applied
and adhered to the surface of the tooth, often without reducing the
structure of the tooth. Your Sensational Smiles dentist artistically
sculpts the bonding material giving the appearance of a natural tooth.
Although bonding may not last as long as porcelain veneers, it is
a cost effective alternative that will lead you to your sensational
smile.
When you smile, you want to show the world your pearly whites –
not large amounts of your pink gums. If you see a lot of gum
tissue when you smile, you may be a perfect candidate for cosmetic
contouring to reduce your “gummy smile” and enhance your
appearance. Using a safe laser to minimize recovery time, Drs.
Berdahl and Feiock improve your smile by carefully shaping and sculpting
your gums. With the addition of beautiful porcelain veneers,
your gummy smile disappears, revealing a bright, youthful smile that
looks natural and proportioned.
